Stuck Between Stations.

Mon Aug 4, 2008, 2:26 AM
I just looked at my old journal entries.

The one from nearly a year a go is pretty cheery. Oof, I remember being pretty happy after GCSE results and Reading and THINGS.

The ones since are pretty angsty. HM.

The one right here is GOOD.

Latitude was GOOD. I'll leave it at that, I can't write any more about it without going off on a rant about how it was, more or less, the most fun I have ever had. Nyaw, five days in a tent with everyone. FUNTIMESGUIZE.

Other things are GOOD right now, even if the whole of everyone has gone on holiday and left me behind.

Some things are TOO good.

Some things are BAD. Like - I have completely given up stopped quit on something for pretty much the first time in my life. Also - results are next week, that's two weeks earlier than I thought. And - I NEED to get a job. And even more irritatingly - ICANNOTMAKEARTTODAYORYESTERDAYORTOMORROWATTHEMOMENT.

NOTLONGTOWAIT...kind of. Write letters and diaries and blogs and notes and nosensical things to look at later and realise you're slightly retarded but at the same time to force yourself to think about things that have gone up and down and slightly sideways but always in a horizontal kind of way (as opposed to diagonal) and then feel a bit stupid 'cause you're more or less talking to yourself as no one ever reads these things though when they do you'd never want to know because it's allsoridiculous and owf I want to finish writing several songs but there's a knocking on the door which someone else should get and where's the postman these days? 18SECONDSTOGO! On the most immediate thing and least important that I am waiting for. Hm, flashback, to the 2nd June infact - that never turned out how we'd hoped, and no one liked the Limoncello.

hey found your stuff when searching nick mccarthy lol. you have a really cool sense of composition and color in your photography and you go for more of an abstract designy look rather than realism...anyway, nice job (:
:iconchrismv:

nah, my pleasure.
yeah... i used to get trains....
then i got my driving license. i feel pretty bad about driving everywhere though, so i'll try take the train more often, then maybe get to chat with you, if i'm lucky.

my gallery isnt so great, its nothing compared to yours! im trying to do much more recently though, i've been less busy and theres time to relax and create things - i love that state of affairs.

anyway, all the best!
:icontoboggles:
nice work! are you rebelling against using computers or just wanting to master pencil and paint before u transfer/combine? I can imagine them really suiting your style of illustration!
:iconlowflyingpanicattack:
hah cheers, i used computers for too long, then realised i liked the physical process of making art and with computers it can only too easily become style over substance. not that digital work isn't a good thing! i'm trying to find a middle ground...

yeah i agree with you when it comes to how much more rewarding it is to draw summet good by hand.. computers are just great for doing things a bit quicker and that cant be done by hand, although alot of it can! Thanks alot for the watch!
:iconpurpled3:
Not a problem. Keep up the great work!
